Vendor Meetings

Posted by on in Vendors

I am starting to book vendor meetings for the upcoming months. Now that things are a little quieter (barely) I want to meet with some of the local wedding vendors that I haven’t had the pleasure of working with yet. Since I relocated from Las Vegas last year I am still familiarizing my self with other New Hampshire wedding professionals.

I am hoping to set aside one day a week to meet. If you are interested in introducing your business to me so that I can educate my couples about your services, please contact me! We can meet for coffee, lunch or even a beer! I will be reaching out to vendors that I have heard of and want to learn more about, but if you think I should know about your business give me a call or send me an e-mail. I will be blogging about each of the vendors that I meet with and will also do a future post on how I try to match my couples with potential vendors.

I look forward to meeting more wedding professionals in New Hampshire and greater New England!

Thanks for reading!

Featured Vendor - The Bejeweled Florist

Posted by on in Vendors

I am thrilled to be featuring Denise Tomasi of The Bejeweled Florist on the blog today. If you haven't heard of a brooch bouquet you are missing out! I first came across their gorgeousness while scrolling through pictures of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's wedding in US Magazine last year. I was absolutely in love with her bouquet (google it if you haven't seen their wedding photos, amazing). Miranda's bouquet created a ton of buzz and I was excited when the trend took off, offering brides something really fun and different. I am even more ecstatic to share with all of you that we have a gorgeous brooch bouquet designer right here in New England. If you are looking for a beautiful work of art to carry down the aisle that will certainly show-off your unique personality, check-out Denise's bouquets below. We've asked her a few questions so that you can get to know her better!

What do you want brides to know about your business?

I want brides to know that all bouquets are custom made just for them. I design the bouquets and the bride works only with me so her bouquet is her dream bouquet. I send photos throughout the process so every bride is able to see her bouquet prior to receiving it.

What are the benefits of choosing a brooch bouquet over a floral bouquet?

A brooch bouquet is a forever bouquet, meant to last always. It becomes an heirloom. A memory of that perfect day.

How do you design your bouquets?

I design each bouquet custom, for each bride. No two bouquets are ever the same. Many brides will send along pieces of jewelry that they'd like to have placed in their bouquet, many times from a family member or a sentimental keepsake!! There is a lot of communication that takes place, depending on where the bride lives, they can meet with me or we can design it through emails and phone calls. All brides are able to contact me and I am happy to respond back to any of their questions to make the process easy for them!!When a bride decides what she wants, it can take me several weeks to collect her jewelry pieces, All pieces of jewelry are wired and placed into the bouquet without using a filler such as Styraphome. All bouquets are finished in the bride's color of choice.

What are your most popular color combinations?

My most popular colors for bouquets today are purple and silver, another popular choice is all silver and silver and gold as well. It also depends on the time of year. Towards the holidays it seems to be more blacks/golds/silvers and reds! We have a large wedding coming up where all of the bouquets are apple green and navy blue!!! It's easy to put beautiful jewelry together and have it look amazing!!!

Do you sell sample bouquets, or is all of your work custom designed?

Every bouquet is custom made, I always make them for a very special bride!!! I also offer different sizes and styles for the whole wedding party as well as a vintage bouquet made out of all handmade silk flowers.

Five Unique Wedding Venues In New Hampshire

Posted by on in Vendors

Emily's guest blog post as seen on WeddingReportsNH

A few months ago I was watching an episode of one of my favorite wedding shows and it just so happened that the couple was getting married at an Aquarium. I thought it was a fun and unique venue. It reminded me of the Sex and The City movie when Carrie is planning her wedding at the New York Public Library. I've been noticing recently that many couples are looking for a special and unique wedding venue. They want a location where their friends and family have most likely not attended a previous wedding. Venues that spark your imagination, offer a history lesson and are just plain cool definitely make the grade. There are so many great venues in New Hampshire to choose from; I have compiled a list of five unique and unusual locations to consider for your wedding in the Granite State.

1) The Currier Museum of Art - The Currier Museum of Art is an internationally renowned art museum located in Manchester, New Hampshire. It offers a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding with works by Picasso, Monet, O'Keeffe, Wyeth, and LeWitt. If you want a one of kind setting add this venue to your list.

2) Canterbury Shaker Village - Canterbury Shaker Village is a museum founded to preserve the heritage of the Canterbury Shakers. It offers a beautiful historic property boasting 694 acres of forests, fields, gardens, nature trails, and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement. It is the perfect location for a wedding with its picturesque and rural setting.

It truly shows off the treasures and rich coastal history of New Hampshire. The breathtaking scenery will be sure to impress your guests.

5) Curtis Farm - Curtis Farm is a 1746 colonial New England Farm that has been hosting weddings since 1907. With stunning acreage and beautiful sunsets, it is an amazing outdoor wedding venue. If you've ever dreamed of a rustic wedding, this is a venue you must see.
